Description
Riseden Farmhouse is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier, with extensions added in the mid-19th century. The house is timber framed and faced with red brick, with the upper floor tile hung. It has a plain tiled roof. The building is arranged with a lobby entry plan and comprises two storeys on a plinth, topped by a half-hipped roof and featuring a projecting gabled cross-wing to the right. Chimneys are positioned centrally to the right, to the right, and to the rear centre. The main range has two three-light wooden casement windows on each floor, while the cross-wing has glazing bar sash windows on each floor. A boarded door is located in a gabled porch in the centre of the right side of the building, and the cross-wing has pierced bargeboards. A lower, two-storey, tile-hung range extends to the rear left.
