Description
Marigolds is a house, formerly a pair of cottages, dating from the 16th century and clad in the early 18th century. It features a timber frame covered with red and blue brick and ornamental tile hanging, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building has a four framed bay lobby entry plan and stands two storeys high with a half-hipped roof. There are moulded stacks positioned to the centre left, which include an arched recessed panel and a fire plaque, with a projecting stack at the end right.
On the first floor, there are two two-light and two three-light leaded wooden casements. The ground floor features four two-light casements and one three-light casement in the centre, with the two windows at the end right having recessed panels above them, and the wall designed to appear as if it has brick buttresses between the windows. The entrance includes a boarded door at the end left and a half-glazed door to the centre left.
