Description
Riseden Cottage is a house that dates back to the 16th century or earlier, with an extension added in the mid-20th century. The building features a timber frame that is clad with red and blue brick and tile hanging, along with a plain tiled roof. It stands two storeys high and has a hipped roof, which is extended on the left with a 20th-century gablet. There are stacks located at the centre right and the front left of the cottage.
On the first floor, there are five wooden casement windows, while the ground floor has four irregularly sized wooden casements, a half-glazed door to the left, and a panelled door in a hipped porch to the right. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot and a 20th-century extension to the rear right. Inside, the full frame of the cottage is visible, and it features inglenook fireplaces.
