Description
The Oasthouse at Little Scotney Farm, dated 1871, is a two-storey building constructed of red brick with a weatherboarded gable end and a plain tiled roof. It features a stowage area with a half-hipped roof, three wooden casements on each long side, and boarded doors on each floor of the gable end. The building has a sequence of single, double, and cart doors. At the south end, there are four roundels, each equipped with louvred ventilating windows, and the cowls and winding vanes are intact. Each cowl is topped with an iron weather vane shaped like a flag, each displaying a letter: A, V, E, H, which references the Husseys of Scotney, part of whose estate this building was.
