Description

Chingley Manor is a house dating from the 17th century or earlier, which has been altered, re-clad, and enlarged in the late 19th century and late 20th century. The original structure is timber framed and now clad with red brick and sandstone at ground floor level, and tile hanging on the first floor. The roof is covered in plain tiles. The house is two storeys high with a garret, featuring a projecting gable on the left side and chimney stacks at the far left end and center right. There are three leaded wooden mullioned casement windows on each floor, and a boarded door is located centrally to the right. A hipped, two-story rear extension has been added.
