Description

Forge House is a house dating from the 16th century or earlier. It is timber framed and clad in weatherboarding, with a plain tiled roof. The building appears to have originated as a hall house and has a lobby entry. It is two storeys high with an attic; the roof is hipped to the left and half-hipped to the right, featuring two hipped semi-dormers and a stack cluster towards the centre right. There are two small wooden casement windows within the lower level of the semi-dormers on the first floor, and three wooden casement windows on the ground floor. A boarded door with a raking porch is located towards the centre right. A catslide extension projects from the rear.
