Description

Little Bewl Bridge Farmhouse is a house, likely dating to the 17th century or earlier, and substantially refronted in the late 18th century. It combines timber framing and weatherboarding in the original section with later red brick and tile hanging. The roof is covered in plain tiles. The house comprises two parallel ranges, originally planned with a lobby entry. It is two storeys high, built on a plinth, with a gabled roof and stacks positioned at the end on the left and the end on the right. The asymmetrical front elevation features three-light casement windows on each floor to the left, a central two-light casement window above a boarded door with a flat hood, and a three-storey arrangement to the right. The right-hand windows are set at a lower level than those on the left. A small two-light window is positioned high under the eaves on the right. The rear range is half-hipped, with a stack located centrally to the right.
