Description
Shernfold Farmhouse is a house dating from around 1800, with an extension added in the late 20th century. It is constructed of red brick, with tile hanging on the first floor and a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys, featuring a plinth and a cogged brick cornice at the first floor level. The roof is equipped with stacks at both ends, with one originally located at the end of the building and now extended one bay to the right. The original design included a regular arrangement of two metal and wooden casements on each floor, along with a central panelled door that has a top glazed section and is topped with a hood shaped like an open pediment supported by brackets. The house has been extended to the right, now featuring one casement on each floor. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot.
