Description
The Lodge is a house dating from the late 18th century, with later additions. The main part of the building is constructed of painted red brick and features a pantile roof with two brick end chimneys. It stands three storeys high and has three first-floor windows, which are iron-framed casements with glazing bars, set under cambered brick arches. The house is accessed through a late 19th-century ground-floor extension at the front, made of yellow brick and topped with a slate roof. This entrance includes a panelled door with sidelights, flanked by large casement windows, and features a fascia cornice. To the right, there is a 20th-century two-storey extension that is set forward from the original facade, and to the left, there is a single-storey extension. The rear of the building has a catslide roof.
