Description
Bracondale Cottage is a former lodge to Bracondale House, dating from the early 19th century. The building is rendered with a slate roof and features two yellow brick chimneys. It is designed in the Regency style and stands two storeys tall, with three windows on the first floor. The entrance is located on the right side of the building.
The main facade includes a central bow-fronted bay that extends two storeys, featuring French windows and 20th-century first-floor casements set in flat-headed recesses, which are flanked by blind panels. To the left and right of the bay, there are round-headed recesses with French windows and tall sash windows with glazing bars, respectively. A plain string course runs along the building. The first-floor windows are sashes with glazing bars, positioned under slightly cambered arches.
To the left, there is a low two-storey extension that includes two ground-floor lunettes, one first-floor casement, and a brick chimney. The west boundary wall of the property, which is not of special architectural interest, features a date stone that reads: PMM/1829.
