Description
62 and 64 Bracondale are a pair of houses dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. They feature a red brick facade, rendered gables, and flint and brick rubble panels on the right side wall. The houses have a slate roof, with pantiles at the rear, and two rebuilt red brick end chimneys. They are two storeys tall with an attic and have four symmetrical first-floor windows. The paired six-panelled doors, two of which are glazed, have rendered reveals and lugged architraves with rusticated keyblocks under pediments. A plain brick string course runs along the building. The windows on the ground floor are large paned sashes with horns in flush-fronted wooden frames, topped with flat gauged brick arches. There are traces of jambs for earlier wider windows on the first floor. A modillion cornice is present, and there are two gabled dormers, each with two large-paned sashes with horns. The right side features a stepped gable with brick coping.
