Description
No. 70 is a house located on the south-west side of Bracondale, dating from the late 18th century with later additions. It is constructed of red brick and features a hipped pantile roof with two brick chimneys at the rear. The building has two storeys and five symmetrical first-floor windows. Access is via six steps leading up to a six-panelled door, which is topped by a fanlight with radial glazing bars set in panelled reveals. The door is flanked by pilasters with small consoles beneath an open pediment. To the right and left of the entrance are canted ground-floor bays, which have dentilled string courses and rendered parapets. A plain brick string course runs along the building, and the first-floor windows are sash windows with glazing bars, set under flat gauged brick arches. The building is finished with a box cornice.
