Description

The Church of St Mark is a parish church built in 1844 by J. Brown, with an apse and vestry added in 1864 by J.H. Brown. It features knapped flint with some flushwork on the buttresses, and yellow brick dressings, along with a stone plinth and dressings on the chancel. The church has a slate roof and consists of a nave, chancel, and a west tower. The nave includes five two-light perpendicular windows, while the pentangular apse has tall single-light windows with drip moulds. The east end of the nave is adorned with crenellated turrets, and the west tower is tall. Inside, there is a west gallery supported by cast-iron columns, a painted rood screen, and framed roof trusses.
