Description
This is an oasthouse located about 100 metres west of Conghurst, dating from the mid-19th century. It features a timber-framed stowage that is weather-boarded, with a sandstone end wall and a slate roof. The roundel, which is made of sandstone and red brick, has a tiled roof. The stowage has an open ground floor supported by stone piers, with the end wall at road level and a hipped roof. There is a boarded door facing the roadside, accessed by a short flight of steps. The roundel is positioned to the rear left, with a stone base and upper courses made of red brick, leading into the stowage through a similarly constructed outshot. The roundel has a conical roof.
