Description
26 Church Road is a building from 1746 located on the north side of Church Road. It is a three-storey structure with a semi-basement, constructed of painted brick, and features a weatherboarded side elevation. The roof is hipped and tiled with a gable. The building has a window arrangement of 1:3:1, although the original windows have been replaced with metal-framed casements. The ground floor includes a later 19th-century shop front and a doorcase on the right side, which has a rectangular fanlight above a six-panelled door. Access to the entrance is via four stone steps with an iron handrail. This building is part of a group that includes Nos 16 to 30 (even).
