Description

16 and 18 Church Road is a mid-19th century pair of houses that stand three storeys tall with a semi-basement. They feature a hipped slate roof and four sash windows that have verticals only. The buildings are adorned with stringcourses. Between the ground and first floors, there is a balcony decorated with Vitruvian scroll and anthemion motifs in cast iron, along with a central Tuscan porch that includes a staircase with a cast iron balcony. These houses are included for their group value, as they are part of a larger group that includes Nos 16 to 30 (even).
