Description

This is an 18th-century building on the south side of High Street. It is two storeys high and constructed of painted brick with a pantile roof. The front elevation originally had two windows, one with a hung sash window containing glazing bars, and the other a dummy window with a painted lintel. A single window is present on the ground floor, featuring hung sash windows with glazing bars. The front door consists of four panels and leads up three modern steps. A passage entry is located to the right of the door. This building forms a group with numbers 49 to 59 (odd), 59A, and 61 to 75 (odd) on High Street, although numbers 59, 59A, and 61 hold local interest only.
