Description
Swan Farmhouse is a house dating from the 16th century, which was restored in the mid-20th century. It features a timber frame that is exposed, with plaster infill on the painted brick ground floor. The roof is plain tiled. The building has a lobby entry range with a cross-wing. It stands two storeys high with a garret, and has a half-hipped roof along with a projecting half-hipped cross-wing to the left. There are chimney stacks located centrally to the right and to the left on the cross-wing. The cross-wing garret has blocked mullioned lights, as does the rear elevation. The first floor includes a mullioned and transomed casement window, along with two three-light casements in the main range, featuring a partly blocked central mullioned window. On the ground floor, there is a mullioned and transomed casement, two additional three-light casements, and a boarded door located to the centre right in the stack bay. There are outshots and a hipped wing projecting from the left return, which is partly framed and consists of painted brick and weatherboard. The rear extensions are largely from the 20th century.
