Description
Grange Farm Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick, partly in English Bond, with a tile-hung first floor and a plain tiled roof. The building has two storeys set on a plinth, featuring a gambrel roof with stacks that project and are offset to both the left and right. The windows are regularly arranged, with two three-light leaded wooden casements on each floor, and a central casement on the ground floor that replaces the original door, which is topped by a flat hood supported by brackets. The current entry is through a 20th-century conservatory on the right side. There is also a catslide outshot and a rear wing. Inside, the frame of light scantling is exposed.
