Description

High View is a house, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier, which was substantially refronted in the 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and features tile hanging on a painted brick ground floor, with some exposed framing visible on the rear left return. The roof is tiled. The house comprises two parallel wings, the rear wing being the older timber-framed section. The front range is two storeys and has a half-hipped roof, featuring casement windows on each floor and a single light in a projecting outshot to the right. A gabled porch with a boarded door is centrally placed on the right. The rear wing is of two storeys and has a garret, with a half-hipped roof to the left with a gablet and a projecting stack, and a gabled section to the right, featuring an old stack cluster. Casement windows are present on each floor in the gable end.
