Description

GOUDHURST CHURCH ROAD TQ 7237-7337 (north side) 15/111 Blackman's and Old Cottage 20.6.67 GV II House, now cottage pair. C16, altered C18. Timber framed and weather-boarded on ground floor and tile hung on first floor, with plain tiled roof. Lobby-entry plan. Two storeys, with eaves-drop to ground floor and with half-hipped roof with stacks to end left and to end right and clustered to centre left. Four leaded wooden casements on each floor of 3, 1, 4 and 4-lights on first floor, and 3, 1, 3 and 3 on ground floor. Boarded door to centre left and glazed door to centre right in hipped porch. Catslide outshot to rear. Portions of the frame are exposed below the eaves-drop, with large panels and curved bracing. Interior: exposed frame and inglenooks visible.
