Description
Little Tattlebury is a house, now a pair of houses, dating from the 16th century. It is timber framed and clad with red brick and weatherboarding on the first floor, featuring tile-hung gables and a plain tiled roof. The building has a lobby entry plan with four framed bays, standing two storeys high with a garret and a half-hipped roof that includes a central moulded and capped stack cluster.
On the first floor, there are four leaded window casements and a small central light, while the ground floor has five wooden casements, with the one to the left located in an outshot. A plank and stud door with a flat hood is positioned to the left, and there is a fine cross-beamed panelled door in the centre. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot that has been extended and projects to the rear left, but it does not extend to the rear of the end right bay.
Inside, the full frame is visible (only Little Tattlebury was inspected), showcasing small panel framing, tongue-stopped chamfered beams, an inglenook, and a queen post roof.
