Description

HAWKHURST WHITE'S LANE TQ 7630-7730 (east side) 17/479 Barn about 30 metres north-east of Duval's Farmhouse GV II Barn. Late C16. Timber framed and exposed with concrete block infill and plain tiled roof. Roof gabled to left and hipped to right, with open threshing bay entrance to central right. Interior: 4 bays, with eccentrically placed tension bracing to main posts and arch braces to tie beams, and with queen-strut roof with clasped purlins, diminished principals and wind bracing. End right bay floored over to form a loft.
