Description
This barn, located about 30 metres north-east of Duval's Farmhouse, dates back to the late 16th century. It features a timber frame that is exposed, with concrete block infill and a plain tiled roof. The roof has a gable on the left side and is hipped on the right, with an open threshing bay entrance positioned centrally on the right. Inside, the barn consists of four bays, showcasing eccentrically placed tension bracing on the main posts and arch braces on the tie beams. The roof structure includes queen struts with clasped purlins, diminished principals, and wind bracing. The right end bay has been floored over to create a loft.
