Description

A group of mid-19th century oast houses, situated 30 yards south of Winfield Farmhouse. The group comprises six granaries with six roundels, arranged irregularly. The construction is of random rubble stone with red brick dressings. The roundels have corbelled brick eaves. Roofs are tiled, covering both the granaries and roundels, and original cowls and wind-vanes are still present. The layout includes two granaries to the west, two to the north, two in a T-plan arrangement to the south-east, with roundels positioned around them. The group is listed for its contribution to the area's character.
