Description

Claygate House is a 15th-century farmhouse that has undergone significant alterations. It is constructed of painted brick with a left-hand jetty built on a rubble stone base. Exposed timber framing is visible above the brick. The roof is steeply pitched and tiled, with gablets, a central ridge stack, and an east-end stack. The house has two storeys and three windows, featuring 18th-century and 19th-century hinged and sliding sash windows. A panelled door is protected by a gabled hood. Group value is present due to its contribution to the character of the area.
