Description
Landway Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse located on the north side of Basted Lane in Plaxtol. The building is constructed of red brick, with the left side featuring tile-hanging. It has a plain tiled hipped roof with a moulded eaves cornice and a ridge stack positioned to the left. There is a valley-roofed section with a parallel block behind the main structure. The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three windows on the ground floor, which are fitted with glazing bar sashes set in segment-headed surrounds. The windows have shutters. The entrance is located to the right of the ground floor window and features a six-panel door topped with a large flat hood supported by two thin cast-iron colonnettes, each adorned with tulip mouldings.
