Description

This barn, located 150 yards south of Little Tottington Farmhouse, dates from the late 17th century or early 18th century. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weather-boarded, sitting on a random rubble stone plinth. The roof is plain tiled and features a half-hipped design. The north side has a mid-stray, while the south side includes a half-height wagon entrance to the right and a boarded door at the west end. Inside, the barn is aisled and includes notched posts with long straight braces. The roof structure is a queen post design with side purlins, and there is a lower threshing floor at the east end.
