Description

Cowleaze Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1680. It features a distinctive red and blue brick chequer pattern on a galletted random rubble stone plinth. The hipped roof is plain tiled and has a wooden cornice, along with two flat-headed dormers and projecting brick stacks at each end. The building stands two storeys high and has a regular three-window front, with glazing bar sashes on the ground floor that have segment heads. The central entrance consists of a panelled door surrounded by a moulded wooden architrave, topped with a flat projecting entablature hood.
