Description

Nos 137-139 on The Street are a pair of cottages dating from the 18th century. The ground floor is rendered, while the first floor is tile-hung, and the building features a half-hipped tiled roof. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has two windows with casements. The entrance to No 139 is centrally located, while No 137 has its entrance at the extreme right within a lean-to extension. Both entrances have flat hoods supported by brackets. To the right, there is a one-storey, one-bay brick addition with a half-hipped roof. These cottages are also known as Nos 1 and 2 Yew Tree Cottages.
