Description
The Cross is a house that was formerly an inn, built in the 18th century. It is constructed of red brick with a wide plinth made of coursed rubble stone and a brick band. The roof is plain tiled and features a modillion eaves cornice. The building has two dormers and a stack on the left side. It stands two storeys high with an attic and has three windows; on the first floor, there are two glazing bar sash windows on the left and a blind panel on the right. The ground floor has two sash windows, with a 19th-century shop front inserted to the right. There is a panelled door that leads up six steps to the right, and a rectangular cellar light is located to the right as well. Additionally, there are shorter supporting one-storey wings with half-hipped roofs that were added later to both the left and right sides.
