Description

Black Lion House is a house dating back to the 18th century, although it incorporates an earlier building. The front elevation is rough cast and colour-washed, while the sides and rear are a mix of brick and weatherboarding. The front has a cement plinth and a concealed parapet above the roof. The house is two storeys high with three bays, featuring single glazing bar sashes on the upper floor and tripartite sashes on the ground floor. A central entrance has a flat, projecting hood and a margin light above the door. A catslide roof extends to the rear, alongside a rear wing. The building was formerly the Black Lion Public House.
