Description
Nos. 60 and 62 are a pair of houses built in the 1830s, located on Hardres Street in Ramsgate. They are constructed of stock brick, with some areas painted, and feature a slate roof. The buildings rise three storeys above a basement, topped with a cornice parapet and chimney stacks positioned at the centre and to the right. The windows include glazing bar sash types, a blank window space, and a wooden casement on the first and second floors. The ground floor has canted bays, with replacement windows on the left and sash windows on the right, extending down to the basement. There are two doors: a half-glazed door in the centre and a glazed door to the right, both adorned with semi-circular fanlights. The steps and basement area are enclosed with simple rails, featuring ball finials on the principal posts. This pair of houses is included for its group value.
