Description

RAMSGATE HIGH STREET TR 3665 SE ST. LAWRENCE (north-west side) 6/209 Group of 3 chest tombs, about 50 metres west of Church of St. Laurence GV II Group of 3 chest tombs. C18. Brick with stone top slabs. All 3 are coffin shaped, with moulded top slabs, the western most almost ccmpletely level with the ground surface, the middle one standing about 2 1/2 feet high, the eastern most about 1 foot high. All inscriptions are illegible. Such shaped chests are virtually unique in East Kent at least.
