Description
39, 41, 43 and 45 High Street is a terrace row built in the mid-18th century. The building is constructed of stock brick, with some areas rendered, and features a plain tiled roof. It stands three storeys high on a plinth, topped with a hipped roof and has stacks at the rear, center left.
On the second floor, there are four half-sized glazing bar sash windows, with a blank window space in the second bay from the left. The first floor has four glazing bar sashes, with the two on the left having segmental heads, and a segmentally headed window space in the third bay from the left. To the right, there is a bow oriel window with two glazing bar sashes.
The ground floor features five glazing bar sashes, most of which have segmental heads, except for the end right window and the third from the left, which has 16 panes. The doors on the left, center, center right, and end right are six-panel doors set in pilastered surrounds with cornices. There is also a boarded passage door to the center left, located below the blank window space. The return elevations have flint walls.
