Description

Chapel Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brown brick with rendered side elevations and features an interlocking tiled roof. The building has a double range plan and consists of two storeys and a basement, topped with a parapet and a stack to the right. On the first floor, there are two glazing bar sash windows, while the ground floor has one sash window to the right and another in the basement below, all with red brick heads. To the left, there is a four-panel door with five steps leading up to it, flanked by cast-iron poppy-head rails. The cottage is named after a medieval chantry chapel, parts of which were attached to the building until recently, with flints from the chapel being reused as garden walls.
