Description
Hanover Cottage and Vine Cottage are a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century and early 18th century. They are constructed from rendered red brick and feature a plain tiled roof. The front range is two storeys high with a garret, and it has a parapet gable with a kneeler and a stack on the left side. On the first floor, there are two glazing bar sash windows, and on the ground floor, there is one sash window to the left and a half-glazed door to the right, which is set in a trellised porch. In the center, there is a datestone inscribed with "Hanover Cottage" and the year 1630. To the right, there is a recessed range that is also two storeys high with a garret and features a half-hipped roof, along with stacks on the end right and front right. This range includes glazing bar sashes and a large leaded insurance shield plaque. There are additional wings at the rear of the cottages.
