Description
66, 68 and 70 Park Road is a house dating from the late 17th century, with alterations made in the late 19th century. The building is constructed of painted brick and has a plain tiled roof. It features two storeys, an attic, and a basement, with a plinth, a plat band, and a modillion eaves cornice. The roof has a pedimented shaped gable on the right and a remaining kneeler on the left. There are three 19th-century bargeboarded dormers and a panelled stack located to the centre right. The first floor has six segmentally headed sash windows, while the ground floor has four sash windows, with basement openings on both the left and right sides. The doors are six-panelled and rectangular, with heavy 19th-century cornices supported by brackets. At the rear, there is a two-storey wing with segmental sashes and a six-panel door framed by a moulded pilaster and entablature on the right return.
Inside, the building was undergoing reconstruction and restoration at the time of the survey, including the restoration of at least one fire-damaged panelled room. It is separated from the adjacent No. 64 by a simple batten and plaster wall.
