Description

No. 6 with area is a house dating to circa 1810. It is constructed of stock brick, with flint to the left return, and has a slate roof. The house is three storeys and has a basement, topped with a parapet to a double-span roof, with stacks on both gable ends. The upper floors have two- and three-light sashes with vertical glazing bars, the second floor window incorporating a central blank space, all with segmental heads. A bow window extends from the ground floor, and a basement is present to the left, with glazing bar sashes. A panelled door with a semi-circular fanlight and Coade stone keyhead is positioned to the right. A half-glazed door and plate glass opening provide access to the basement. Simple rails lead to the steps, and a 20th-century wooden balustrade encloses the basement area.
