Description
No. 3 Huskisson Street is a house built in the 1830s. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and has a slate roof. The building has three storeys and a basement, featuring six bays, with the end bay being only two storeys high. There is a basement lintel band, a first-floor sill band, and a top cornice with a blocking course, along with a pediment above the first three bays. The windows have wedge lintels and are sashed with glazing bars; the first and fourth bays contain blind windows, while the end bay features a two-storey canted bay window. An enclosed stone porch includes paired pilasters, a cornice, and a blocking course, with a round-headed window at the front and a segmental-headed entrance on the right side. Decorative iron area railings are present, with heads that add detail. To the right of the entrance, there is a stone pier with an iron lamp standard that has four scrolls, although the top is missing. The return side has blind boxes for the ground floor windows. The house was undergoing refurbishment in 1984.
