Description
No. 52 Catharine Street is a house built in the 1830s. It features a stucco exterior and a slate roof, standing three storeys tall with a basement and two bays. The return section has a lower recessed block with an entrance that projects to the front. Notable architectural details include a first-floor sill band, a top cornice, and a blocking course. The windows are sashed and do not have glazing bars. The entrance is adorned with angle pilasters and an entablature, leading to a two-panel door. Iron railings with spearhead tops enclose the area, and there is an iron balcony on the first floor, although parts of it were missing as of 1984. The first-floor windows also feature blind boxes.
