Description

No. 30 Huskisson Street, which includes No. 19 Percy Street, is a pair of houses built in the 1830s. They are constructed of stucco and topped with a slate roof. The buildings rise three storeys with a basement and feature five by three bays. There is a basement lintel band, a sill band on the first floor, and a frieze and cornice above. A top cornice and rusticated quoins at the corners add to the design. The central three bays project slightly forward and have channelled rustication on the ground floor and a sill course on the first floor, with angle pilasters on the first and second floors. The central bay projects even further, lacking rustication on the first floor and also featuring angle pilasters. Most windows are sashed with glazing bars. The entrance is framed by panelled pilasters and has a consoled cornice above, with a complete overlight (the door was boarded in 1984). There are iron railings with arrowhead details around the area and steps. The end two bays connect to No. 19 Percy Street, which has a central enclosed porch with channelled rustication, a cornice, and an entrance with a consoled cornice. The bay above this entrance projects forward and features angle pilasters, with a top gable and chimney stack.
