Description
26 and 28 Huskisson Street are two houses built in the 1830s. They are constructed of stucco and feature a slate roof. Each house has three storeys and a basement, with three bays. There is a lintel band at the basement level and a sill band at the first floor. The top of the wall between the second-floor windows is designed as flat pilasters that support a top entablature and blocking course.
The windows on the ground and first floors have architraves, with the ground floor windows also featuring panelled aprons. The central first-floor windows are adorned with a frieze and consoled pediments. All windows are sashed and do not have glazing bars. The entrances are highlighted by Ionic porches and half-glazed doors. There are decorative iron railings for the areas and steps, and an iron balcony on the first floor, although the first two panels are 20th-century replacements. The return of No. 28 has seven bays and includes four balconies for the first-floor windows.
