Description

This barn, located about 20 metres north-west of The Elms, dates back to the 16th century. It features a timber frame and is weather boarded on a red brick base, topped with a thatched roof. The roof is hipped, with a hipped midstrey to the left and raised 'eyebrow' eaves above double doors situated to the centre right. Inside, the barn comprises five bays with aisles, passing shores to the arcade posts, and has an eccentric construction of the main trusses. The roof structure includes clasped purlins with wind braces.
