Description
The Elms is a house dating from the 16th century, with a refacing from the early 19th century. It is timber framed and rendered, topped with a plain tiled roof. The building features a three-bay range with a projecting cross-wing. It has two storeys, with the main range having a slightly projecting window bay on the left and a modillion eaves cornice beneath the hipped roof. To the right, there is a projecting two-storey wing that is gabled and has a moulded eaves cornice. A stack is located at the centre left of the building. The windows are arranged irregularly and include all glazing bar sashes: on the first floor, there are two double sets and a single window, while the ground floor has three singles and two tripartite windows. The entrance is through a half-glazed door that has a flat hood supported by brackets, located on the right return. Inside, there is reported panelling and a carved overmantel.
