Description
White Cottage and Elleswood is a pair of houses dated 1739. They are constructed of red brick with a plain tiled roof and feature two storeys, an attic, and a basement set on a plinth with a plat band and coved eaves. The gables have kneelers, and there are two hipped dormers along with stacks located at the rear left and rear centre. The first floor has two glazing bar sash windows alternating with blank panels, while the ground floor includes two segmental-headed glazing bar sash windows, a half-glazed door to the centre left, and a six-panelled door with a glazed top section to the right. Both doors have segmental-headed basement windows beneath them. A terracotta panel on the first floor is inscribed with "R E 1739." At the rear, there is a hipped single-storey wing with an attic.
