Description
Lambs Cottage is a house dated 1691, with an extension from the early 18th century. It is constructed of red brick on a flint base and features a plain tiled roof. The building has one storey and an attic, with a two-storey extension to the right. Notable architectural details include a flint plinth, a plat band, and a dogtooth cornice. The left side has a shaped segmental gable, while the right side has a kneelered gable that is obscured by a later extension. There are two hipped dormers and chimney stacks on both the left and right ends. The windows are arranged irregularly, featuring one glazing bar sash on the left, one horizontally sliding sash, and one wooden casement along with a boarded door to the left. On the right, there are two wooden casements on each floor and a boarded door at the far right end. The left return gable end displays alphabetical wall-ties marked M W and a plaque reading W M M 1691. Inside, there are winder stairs around both main stacks, doors and fittings from the 17th century, coved and moulded overmantels, and moulded ceiling beams.
