Description

This barn, located approximately 40 metres west of The Elms, dates from around 1800. It is constructed from timber framing and is weatherboarded, topped with a grey slate roof. The barn features two gabled midstreys and has right, left, and central outshots. There are double vertically boarded doors leading to the midstreys. The structure comprises eight bays, with hanging knees supporting the tie beams and through bracing present in the walls. It has a side purlin roof and is considered a good example of its type, forming part of a farm complex.
