Description

Birch Cottage is a house from the 18th century, constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior. It features a red plain tiled roof that has an outshot at the rear, along with red brick chimney stacks on both the right and left sides. The building stands two storeys high and has a three-window arrangement with small paned vertically sliding sashes, each with moulded surrounds. The central entrance consists of a four-panelled two-light door, also with a moulded surround, and is sheltered by a slanting trellised porch. Birch Cottage is part of a group with Beavis Hall and the barn opposite.
