Description
Elm View is a pair of cottages dating from the 17th century or earlier, with alterations and additions made in the 18th century and later. The cottages are timber framed and have ashlar line plastered exteriors, with an outshot at the rear. They feature a red plain tiled roof and a central red brick chimney stack. The buildings are two storeys tall, with a single storey extension to the right, which is likely a former bake house that has an external chimney stack. The front has a three-window range of small paned vertically sliding sashes, and there are pentice boards to the ground floor right. The entrance includes a four-panelled door with a slanting porch supported on brackets, and there is an additional door on the left return.
