Description

Fords Farmhouse is a house that dates from the 17th century or earlier, with later additions and alterations. It is constructed with a timber frame and plastered exterior, topped with red plain tiled roofs. On the left side, there is an external red brick chimney stack. The building is one storey with an attic on the left, featuring a gambrel roof and two catslide dormers. To the right, there is a taller gabled crosswing that has two storeys and an exposed frame on the first floor. The windows consist of a 2:1 range of various casements and horizontal sliding sashes. The entrance features a 20th-century plank and muntin door with a segmental head above and a round-headed sidelight to the left.
